RE/MAX Insight Agents Earn Prestigious CDPE Designation
October 24, 2009, by RE/MAX Insight
Don’t Know What to do About your Current Mortgage Situation…? …It all begins with a discussion! Frank Colizzi and Bob Feroce, RE/MAX Insight’s Certified Distressed Property Experts® (CDPE), have completed extensive training and have earned this designation in foreclosure avoidance and short sales. This is invaluable expertise to offer at a time when the area is ravaged by “distressed” homes in various stages of the foreclosure process.
“News of the thousands of homeowners being saved is spreading quickly, and agents with the CDPE designation are now actively sought out by those in need,” says Alex Charfen, CEO of the Certified Distressed Property Institute, LLC. “To these homeowners, the designation means options, support and solutions.”
According to a recent member survey by the Institute, agents with the CDPE designation have been able to decrease short sale processing time by 50 percent. A short sale occurs when the lender accepts the selling price of the home, even if that is less than the borrower’s mortgage balance. “The fact is that seven out of 10 homes go into foreclosure without any professional intervention,” Charfen said. “Realtors must go out with a heart to serve and help struggling homeowners. With the right knowledge and intentions, real estate agents can have a huge impact on the mortgage and real estate crises, beginning now.”
“Bob and Frank’s dedication in earning the CDPE designation demonstrates their willingness to not only help troubled homeowners in the surrounding and seacoast communities, but it shows a commitment to helping them recover from this recession,” said Mark Bishop, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Insight. “We are proud to announce this prestigious CDPE designation on their behalf.”
