New Year - New Beach!
November 29, 2010, by Darlene DolanNew Year – New Beach!

Have you been to Hampton Beach recently? The Seashell Stage came down in September and construction on the new $14.5 million complex has been progressing rapidly with 80 workers on site most days.
What is being built?
There are new bath houses being completed at the North and South ends of the beach – restrooms, changing rooms, showers, bike racks, lockers and shaded seating areas
At the center, on the site of the old Seashell Stage, the foundations are being laid for a new stage area with theater seating for 750, a year-round community event room with sweeping ocean views, a Visitors Center, two smaller stages facing the beach, as well as offices, a conference room, and other employee facilities. Throughout this revitalized zone there will be upgraded landscaping, shaded seating areas and enhanced pedestrian walkways. It’s going to be beautiful! See the Hampton Renderings.
Construction activity at the beach has not been confined to the Redevelopment Project. Foundations are being built at the site of the February fire to rebuild Mrs. Mitchell’s and Happy Hampton. The Zoning Board has approved all the variances needed to rebuild the Surf Hotel so hopefully that will follow soon. Work has also begun on the town house condos next door to Ron’s Landing. It has been a very busy Fall!
For more information about the Hampton Beach Redevelopment Project, go to http://www.nhstateparks.org. There is also a You Tube video showing the razing of the Seashell Stage in September.
Low prices and interest rates, together with this kind of investment in infrastructure make this a great time to purchase your beach property. I’d be happy to help you!
